Full Job Description

Salary: £10.00 per hour (Nights Premium £1.60 per hour between the hours of midnight and 6am)

Nights shift – 22:00pm – 06:00am – Any 5 out of 7 nights – 40 hours per week

Location: Canning Town, East London, E16 4TG
Please be aware that there is no parking at the site.

About the role

You don’t need to have any previous experience to join our team, just bring yourself and a positive attitude and our award winning training team will do the rest!

We use innovative and state of the art technology to ensure our customer’s shopping is picked and packed in an extremely safe, clean and fast paced warehouse environment.

Your role will involve picking and packing customer orders into environmentally friendly bags. A process that requires you to handle goods with care.

This process is also required in our chill room. We will provide you with bespoke clothing for working in here. Again, this process will require handling chilled goods with care.

Receiving goods from suppliers and decanting products into totes. A process that will require you to be accurate and pay attention to detail.

You’ll be loading individual totes (weighing up to 25kg) into frames which are then retrieved and loaded into our delivery vehicles for our customers.

Warehouse Assistant

Hours: 21 Hours per week (3 days) including weekend working.

Salary: £12,523 per annum

 

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager and staff with the processing of donated stock delivered to the warehouse, and will have a good general knowledge of high street clothing brands, and be able to work in a physically demanding environment, moving and handling stock of varying sizes including occasional working with the Van Delivery team.

 

 

The successful candidate will have effective communication skills, a good understanding of customer care and will be able to work flexibly within a team environment. You will also be required to support our volunteers within the warehousing function to enable stock to be sorted and distributed efficiently to our network of shops within the Greenwich & Bexley Boroughs.

 

 

An understanding of the importance of Health and Safety is essential, as well as the ability to manage time and meet delivery deadlines.

Full Job Description

Here in Enfield (EN3), our Iceland Foods warehouse is open 24/7, therefore, we’re looking for Warehouse Operatives to join us on a permanent basis. Our core shifts cover any 5 from 7 on a rotating 06:00 – 14:00 & 14:00 – 22:00, however, we’re also able to offer part-time hours (a minimum of 16 hours per week) and an any 4 from 7 shift in our chill chamber.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Our Warehouse Operatives work in any area of our warehouse from ambient, to chilled, to frozen – this is a great way to learn all about our business and how we support the wider supply chain
  • Pick goods using a voice system and load them onto pallets and cages using LLOP’s
  • Support in the loading and unloading of vehicles
