Now, England will face a step up in quality as they take on the Americans.
Victory will all but confirm England’s place in the knockout phase of the tournament but they will not be overlooking USA.
England v USA: Date and kick-off time
The Group B tie will be held on Friday, November 25.
Kick-off at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor is set for 7pm UK time which is 10pm in Qatar.
England will then face Wales on Tuesday, November 29 at 7pm UK time at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan.

Captain Harry Kane is fit to play after sustaining a minor ankle injury against Iran.
England are expected to name an unchanged line-up.
Kyle Walker missed the game against Iran due to injury but could be involved against the USA.
Doubts remain over James Maddison with the Leicester ace still struggling with a knee injury and not training this week.
The United States have not reported any injury concerns.
